Description:<веош>Perennial herbaceous plants. Tuber-bulb broadly ovate to spherical, a 2 - 3.5 (4) cm long and 2 - 3 (4) cm wide. Leathery shell, light brown to reddish brown, with a neck to 1/3 of the length of the vagina, leafless last membranous, light brown, drained 1/2 to 2/3 of tubular part of perianth. Leaves 3 - 5, broadly ovate to oblong extended broadly elliptical, blunt tip, 20 - 25 cm long and 2 - 6 cm wide, flat, naked. They develop next spring. The blossoms purple, 1 - 5 (7) in number, large. Perianth leaflets in its free part broadly elliptical or ovate back, the tip dulled or rarely short pointed, 50 - 80 mm in length and 10 - 35 mm wide, with 15 - 30 veins, 1/6 - 2 times longer than stamens. Tube 1/5 - 3 times longer than the free part of the perianth. Anthers broadly linear, yellow or brown, 8 - 12 mm in length, 1/5 - 2 times shorter than styliform Staminal handles, which are attached to the middle part. ledges are curved on top, with unilateral drained stigmas. Box lanky, up to 4 cm long, with a short beak tip.
Note. C. arenariam W. K. (Podpera, 1902) and C. hayniliii Hauff. (Ouroumov, 1912), referred incorrectly to the flora of Bulgaria, probably inaccurately identified specimens of C. autumnale L.
