Description:

Perennial, developing underground rhizome branched round. The stem 60 - 150 (200) cm long, herbaceous, thin, ridged, semi-upright, crawling (on other plants), highly branched from the base, all covered with short hairs. Leaves opposite, entire, ovate or ovate lanceolate, 1.5 - 9 cm long and 0.5 - 3 cm wide, on short petiole. Leaf lamina on both sides covered with short hairs. Hermaphrodite flowers, gathered in loose outerwear dihazii. Bracts leaf. Sepals 5, green, semi fused in significantly stretched calyx, 8 - 15 mm in length, 4 - 6 mm wide at the top with a sharp tooth. Petals 5 greenish white, the top deep, closely cut and divided into two, at the base gradually narrowed into a claw. 10 stamens, with oval yellow anthers, filament almost equal in length to the petals, exacerbated the top, to the base gradually expanded slightly. Pistils of three fruits leaves, spherical top, almost three-well ovary and 3 bars. Fruit seated, globular, strawberry similar, but not very juicy, 6 - 8 mm diameter, black at maturity. Karpoforo 2 - 3 mm long. Numerous small seeds, kidney or round, at maturity glossy black, 1.5 mm long.

Distribution in Bulgaria: In wet places, rivers, forests, bushes, fences, in all appropriate floristic areas in Bulgaria, up to about 1300 m altitude. (Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora) = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc.

Distribution: Central, South and Southeast Europe, Southwest and Central Asia, Siberia, Indo-Himalayan and Japanese-Chinese region.
