Description:

Annual or biennial, less multi-, more or less fibrous glandular herbaceous plants. Stems erect, lying or rising slightly, simple or branched. Successive leaves, on stems or sessile, simple, feather like chopped or irregular shallow to deeply toothed, rarely entire. Bracts similar or different from the above leave. Blossoms regular or slightly irregular, collected in class-similar or raceme-similar inflorescences, located on the a stems or seated in the axils of the leaves. Calyx pipy bell-shaped to wide bell-shaped, clear 5- lobed with 10 or more prominent veins; after flowering growing and covering the fruit, sometimes swollen at the base bubble. Corolla broadly funnel or pipe funnel, 5 separately; units rounded, shorter or equal to the rim tube, the same or different length. Stamens shorter to barely longer than the corolla, equal or unequal long; stems fused with the lower half of the tube; anthers shoot in the longitudinal groove - crack. Ovary double-nest-similar, ovule number. The bar conical; stigma headed. Fruit box, up to 3 times shorter than the calyx, which opens at the top by a tap. Seeds numerous, rounded to kidney, finely verrucose or wrinkled mesh with shallow or deep pitting.
