Description: Perennial, rarely annual plants, with entire or deeply cut leaves collected in the form of a rosette at the base of the stem. Basket of small and medium sized located in the peaks of the branching of the stems. Leaves spirally arranged in a several rows. Blossoms yellow or orange. Fruit narrow, longitudinal grooves and narrow, and narrow peak in the short or long beak. Kite comprising 1 or 2 one or two rows of setae; in the latter case, the outer bristles and shorter rough, and the inner longer and feathery. Kite of the outermost fruit often underdeveloped or missing at all.

Bulg. pop Hke. Mutt Gouan, L. integerrimtis var. pirinensis Penzes) - From the wetlands and peat meadows and the lakes in highland area. It is found in the Central Balkan, Rila, Pirin and Vitosha mountains, (-3). VIII - X. Fig. 1499.
(3). L. asper (W. K.) Poir. (Apargia a. WK) (Perennial) – On the dry stony slopes. It occurs quite often in Bulgaria (1 - 3). V - VIII. ................................. f. asper - Wrapping petals densely fibrous, feathery hairs, but on the edge of the back naked. Wide spread; f. intermedius (Vel.) (L. a. WK ssp. i. Vel.) - Involucral petals dorsal side completely. Often; f. setulosus (Hal.) Hayek (L. a. WK β s. Hal.) - Wrapping notes on his back with whitish, coarse setae. Slavianka; f. pirinicus (Stoj.. et Acht.) (L. a. WK var. p. Stoj. et Acht.) - Leaves little to cut almost purposes (in typical form strong wavy cut to cirrus). Pirin mountain.
