Description:
Perennial, rhizome well developed, horizontally, with numerous brown integument stipules of lowest leaves, 20-70 cm tall plants. Stems upright makes numerous in the upper part branched short just fitting fiber, bristles facing down. The lowest leaves 10-40 cm long, just fibrous stems, 3-6 cm long, 5-10 cm wide, numerous palmate divided almost to the base of 5-7 partitions, each in turn, deeply cut into linear lance shaped, serrated shares, the top suddenly narrowed at short blade on either side simply fibrous, previously declining. Stipules ovate lanceolate to lanceolate, leathery, red-brown, short-fitting just fiber. Stem leaves 1-5 cm long, just fibrous, 2.5 - 5.0 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, as the lowest leafs branched out almost to the base, the top almost get down to stem, right, opposite, everyone on both sides fitting just fiber. Two blossoms on a 1-8 cm long, fibrous just emerging from bosoms of outer leaves and longer clusters of them stems on top loose clusters. Bracts linear lanceolate, reddish, ciliate on the edge, on the surface just short fiber. Blossom stems 0.5 - 3.0 cm long, densely fitting just fibrous, lint-facing below. Sepals 7-10 mm long, 2.2 - 4.0 mm wide, ovate lanceolate to lanceolate, with narrow membranous edge and 3-veined, with 1.0-2.5 mm long wooly little beard on the edge and the surface spread just long fiber. Petals 15-20 мм long, 7.5 - 10.5 mm wide, longer than sepals, ovate back on top entire, narrowed at the base into short, narrow, triangular fibrous small nail, violet. Stems of the stamens hidden in the blossom. Fruit share from 3.5 - 4.3 mm long, 1.7 - 2.9 mm wide, smooth, just short fiber with preserved after ripening seeds just short fiber, curved beard. Seeds 2.6 - 3.5 mm long, 1.5-2.0 mm wide, brown, fine-mesh surface.
Flowering Time: Blooms VI-VIII, fruitful VIII-IX.

Distribution in Bulgaria:
These plants are growing on grass and brush areas on limestone bedrock in the mountains. Vitosha region (Vitosha), Pirin mountain, from 1700 until about 2500 meters altitude.
They are appointed for Western and Eastern Rhodopes (Vandas, 1909 Урум., 1917), the Central Stara Planina, Rila (Урум., 1929, 1930, 1935) too.
Distribution:
South East Europe (Southern Carpathians, Balkan Peninsula).
