Description:
Perennial, rhizome short, horizontally, with numerous brown integument shaped remnants of the stipules of the lowes leaves, 20-80 cm tall growing plants. Stems upright, single or multiple, in its upper part branched simply wooly, with tresses facing downwards. The lowest leafs 8-30 cm on long wooly stems, 4-8 cm long, 6-12 cm wide, numerous, in rounded shape, to 4/5 of the radius palmate, divided into 5-7 widely lance shaped, clearly spaced from one another shares, in turn deeply cut triangular top with short blade shares. Stipules triangular lance shaped, brown wooly, simply fitting. Stem leafs cut, as lowest, upper subsessile, opposiete, on both sides tightly, on the bottom surface mainly tightly wooly. Blossoms two by two on simple and glandular wooly raceme stem, in shaggy top, rarely bosom racemes. Bracts lance shaped, brown, simple tightly wooly. Blossom stems 0.5 - 3.5 cm long, spreading simple and glandular wooly, just after petal fall bent down, straightening again after ripening of fruits. Sepals 11-15 mm long, 2.5 - 5.0 mm wide, elliptical lance shaped, with 3-4 mm long at the base densely wooly little beard, on the surface with short simple and glandular on veins with long simple curved hairs. Petals 15 -20 mm long, 8-15 mm wide, longer than sepals, reverse ovate, the base narrowed into a short , triangular wooly small nail, the tip rounded, entire or shallowly concave, blue-violet. Stamen stems hidden in the blossom. Fruit share 4.0 - 4.6 mm long, 2.1-2.5 mm wide, flat, sprayed wooly of short simple and on the back side of the pipe rarely deployed long glandular hairs with persistent after ripening seeds short and simple long wooly glandular, curved beard. Seeds 3.2 - 4.2 mm long, 1.7-2.0 mm wide, dark brown, with fine mesh surface.
Flowering Time: Blooms VI-VII, fruitful VII-VIII.

Distribution in Bulgaria:
These plants are growing in grassy bush, moist places and along streams in the mountains. Central and Western Stara Planina, Vitosha region, Rila, Rhodopes, from 700 up to about 1500 m altitude.
Appointed for Znepolski region (Трънско - Стоян., Стеф., 1948; Стоян., Ганчев, 1950) too.
Distribution:
Europe (excluding the boundary northern parts), Caucasus, Southwest Asia.
Conservation status and threats: not protected species in Bulgaria by theBiodiversity Law. Законодателство на Република България: Закон за биологичното разнообразие.
