Description:

Perennials. Rhizome thin, horizontally. Stems single, more rarely 2 - 3 (20,0-) 30.0 - 40.0 (50.0) cm high, at the base upward or straight, unbranched, four edge, without wings, naked or soft spread fiber. Stipule 6.0 - 10.0 mm in length and 2.0 - 6.0 mm wide, 4 - 8 times shorter than petiole, much narrower than the sheets, ovate lance, semi sagittate, naked. Leaf axis with short small awn. Sheets 2 - 4 pairs (2.0) 3.0 - 4.0 (5.0) cm long and (8.0) 10.0 - 20.0 (25.0) mm wide, 4 - 5 times longer than petiole, ovate lance or lanceolate, the top tapered awn, pointed, bare or sparsely hairy, hairy edge bristly, veins pinnate, lateral veins much thinner than the central. Inflorescences handle shorter than the sheet at the blossom, or equal to him, softly spread glandular hairy or naked. Bracts absent. Blossom handles equal in length to the tube of the calyx or shorter, short bristly glandular or fibrous. Blossoms (6) 10 - 15 (20) (10.0), 12.0 - 14.0 mm long. Calyx 3 times shorter than corolla, with 5 -8 vague streaks, stripped bare or sparsely short-fitting or glandular fibrous; lance teeth, uneven each other, lower almost equal in length to the tube of the calyx, bristly hairy edge. Corolla pale bluish or blue. Flag 14.0 - 15.0 mm long and 10.0 - 12.0 mm wide, broadly ovate back, in the upper part rounded, in the middle narrow wide long fingernail, a little longer than the wings. Triangular elliptical wings, leaf blade shorter than the nail, tongue 1/5 of the nail. Keel 10.0 - 12.0 mm long and 4.0 - 5.0 mm wide, at the top tapering, equal to the wings or just shorter than them,
Leaf blade elliptical triangular, equal to the nail, bent at a right angle . Beans 4.0 0- 6.0 cm long and 5.0 - 7.0 mm wide, linear, brown, with brown glandular trichomes, often mixed with simple hairs, with uncertain network of veins. Seeds 10 - 16, cumulus to almost prismatic, brown, marble pattern; scar 1/3 the circumference of the seed flat, linear.

Note. Specimens except with simple and glandular hairs on the calyx, blossom handles and clusters, and more pods are described as f. glandulosa Todor in Sched. (Gram, et Legum. R. P. Rom. 68, 1956). All known our populations have brown glandular hairs at least beans. Such own and the majority of specimens from Central and Eastern Europe. It is not known if they are not found, and the materials of Miller (I. c.).


Flowering Time: Blooms: V - VI, fruitful: VI - VII.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Grow in the bushes and bright deciduous forests in the lowlands and mountain belt. Black Sea coast,, northeastern Bulgaria, the Danube plane, Fore, Stara Planina (Balkan Mountain), Sofia Region, Znepole area (Kyustendil, Belidiehan), Vitosha Region, West Frontier Mountains (Osogovska Mountain) Struma Valley, Pirin, Belasitsa, Rila, Middle Mountain (Средна гора), Rhodopes Mountains, Thracian Lowland (Harmanli), Tundzha Hilly Plain (Sakar Mountain) to 1500 m altitude. (Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora) = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc.

Distribution: Eastern part of Central and Eastern Europe, Mediterranean (East), Southwest Asia (Asia Minor).
