Description: 

Myosotis alpestris is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.2 m (0ft 8in) by 0.3 m (1ft). 
It is hardy to zone 4. It is in flower from Jul to September, and the seeds ripen from Jul to September. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Bees, flies, lepidoptera.

Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist or wet soil.

Flowering Time:  June  -  August

Distribution in Bulgaria: 

These plants grow on grassy and stony places, mountain- and high - mountain clearings in Western- and Middle Balkan, Vitosha region, Slavyanka, Pirin, Rila, Sredna Gora and Rhodope mountains from 1500 m up to 2900 m altitude. Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc 

Distribution: 

Europe, Caucasus, South- West Asia; perhaps in other regions in Assia and North America too, after Grau (1978)
