ђ. Wood from 15.0 to 25.0 m in height, dark-gray bark, longitudinally cracked, young twigs olive to dark-gray, smooth. Leaf axis from 5.0 to 30.0 cm long by short-fitting fiber. Leaflets 7 - 21, 25.0 - 45.0 mm long and 12.0 - 25.0 mm wide, elliptical or ovoid, the basis narrowed slightly wedge on top blunt, completely short-pointed, on short stalks with one styliform short, short fiber, drop off stipule, green top, bottom, gray-green on both sides quite short fiber to almost naked, young twigs at the base of the leaves on two large, 1.5 - 4.0 cm long stipule, modified in conical , flattened, sharp spines, later drop off. Clusters 10.0 - 20.0 cm long, not glandular fibrous, with many blossoms, in the bosom of the leaves usually shorter than bosom sheet. Blossom stems 8.0 - 10.0 mm long, densely fibrous. Calyx 5.0 - 6.0 mm long and 5.0 mm wide, bell-shaped, densely hairy, up to 1/3 bilabial; teeth broadly triangular, almost identical, shorter than the tube. Corolla 15.0 - 20.0 mm long, white. Flag broadly elliptical to broadly elliptical ovoid back, on top incised, 13.0 - 15.0 mm wide, at the base suddenly narrowed into a short claw narrow, slightly longer than the wings and keel, naked. Elliptical wings, basically short, egg-shaped appendage back, asymmetrical narrowed into a long thin nail,  longer than the keel, naked. The keel ovoid diamond at the base with long slender claws, goals. Beans oblong, flattened strong side, cross-section narrowly elliptical, 5.0 - 10.0 cm long, 1,0 cm wide, naked, dark brown to blackish, slightly pinch, with 4 - 10 seeds. Seeds 5.0 - 6.0 (8.0) mm long and 3.0 - 4.0 mm wide, kidney, dark brown to black, smooth.

Economic importance. Decorative, honey. The timber is used in carpentry.

Note: introduced, invasive species. Demanding to soil and climatic conditions. It grows in symbiosis with nitrogen fixing bacteria, increasing fertility colonized habitats, including heavily damaged. Not withstand frost.
Copper and decorative appearance. The leaves, bark and seeds are poisonous to humans and animals.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Widely cultivated throughout the gardens and parks, along roads, railways and others. as an ornamental, erosion control, form wires, artificial afforestation and so on. Naturalized. (Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora) = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc.

Distribution: It originates from North America.
