Vicia angustifolia Grufb.

865 (21}. V.sativa complex. Mettin et Hannelt, Die KulturpfJanze XII (1964) 163—225; Hannelt et Mettm, op. c. XIV (1966) 137 - 161 — Уров

Annuals plants. Stem 20.0 - 80.0 cm high, more or less upright, remontant, simple or branched from the base, sometimes with underground shoots, quadrangular to polygonal, with longitudinal ribs 1,0 - 2,0 mm thick, sparsely short fiber, naked. double feather-like leaves on top with long branched tendril, sometimes with lower small awn. Leaves 3 - 8 pairs of 1.0 mm long fibrous stalks, linear, elliptical, broadly elliptical, linear wedge, back wedge or wedge-shaped oval, reverse ovate or heart-shaped back, the top cut, shallow to deep cut, short or pointed bristlecone, whole or deeply cut jagged to feather-like cut, from both sides short densely fibrous to bare, 6.0 - 20.0 (-30.0) mm long and 1.0 - 6.0 mm wide. Stipule 10.0 - 12.0 mm in length, same, lower and middle usually split, egg-shaped upper portion, extended peaked, with a dark spot, the lower fan-deep triangular serrated or linear smooth edge; ovoid, elliptical upper, more or less entire; all fibrous. 2 blossoms (3 - 4) or single, in bosoms of leaves, along the stem length, shorter than the axillary leaf, sometimes underground offshoot, with small kleystogamiya blossoms. Blossom handles up to 3.0 - 4.0 mm in length, densely short fiber, long fiber diluted bare. Calyx 7.0 - 13.0 (-15.0) mm long, pipe-like bell-similar, fiber to the naked, correct; linear triangular teeth, equal to each other, shorter, equal to or longer than the tube. Corolla (7,0-) 10.0 - 20.0 (-30.0) mm long. Flag 12.0 - 15.0 mm wide, reverse ovate to elliptic wide, incised on the top, right or tucked to 90°, in the middle suddenly narrowed into a broad and long claw, longer than the wings and keel, bright red violet, red purple to pale pink, sometimes greenish or pale bluish, with dark purple veins, naked. Ovoid elliptical wings, the foundation extended elliptical growth, narrowed in thin long claws, longer than the boat, reddish purple, red purple to pale violet, to purple pink or dark carmine, naked. The keel elliptical ovoid, with thin long nails, purple to pale blue, naked. Beans 3.0 - 5.5 cm long and 2.5 - 8.0 mm wide, linear, on top drained tucked, flattened or cylindrical, pinch or not pinch between seeds, yellowish light brown, brown to black, almost naked, completely short ciliary or fibrous, with 6 - 12 seed under maturation usually tear skirt, less unbroken, the smooth edge. The seeds (1.9) 2.0 - 5.0 (6.3) mm wide and (1.8) 2.0 - 4.0 (5.2) mm thick globular, not pressed to lenticular, yellow-green to dark brown, smooth; scar of 1/4 - 1/6 of the circumference of the seed.

Economic significance. Excellent fodder, honey, weed.

Note / studies Sveshnikov (1935, 1936, 1940) and Hannelt and Mettin (1964, 1966) revealed that the complex V. sativa is composed of annuals, autogamous (and kleistogamous) species, differing more or less morphologically. Main speciation process is downward disploidiya 2n = 14 (V. amphicarpa, V. incisa) - 2n = 12 (V, angustifolia, V. sativa) - 2n = 10 (V. cordata). The individual types are characterized by chromosome number, characteristics of the beans, of the seed and the calyx, and part of the corolla shape of leaves. Insulating mechanisms in this group closely (Sibling) species barriers of self incompatibility and chromosomal and gene sterility. The distinction, though sometimes difficult, it is possible not only on the basis of chromosome number, but also correlations between morphological traits. In Bulgaria are established five types of complex.
