Description:

Baskets medium. Husk composed of stacked membranous tile-shaped notes. The inner envelope notes tinted and significantly longer than the others, as well as the blossoms. Some of the peripheral blossoms fruitless but little bilabial corolla; Interior blossoms bisexual, tubular; stalk of dual-gendered blossoms almost whole. Fruit conical back, covered with cloth and lies close the kite equipped with a number of lance-styliform, pointed flakes. Annual plants with whole leaves.
The outer shell envelope notes almost naked; internal ordinary usually ray-like - feathery. Basket with numerous blossoms .
