Description:

Perennials. The main root well developed. Stems erect or slightly ongoing, 60 - 140 centimeters tall, hollow, ridged at the base, with rare hairs to the top most densely thick velvet. Leaves consecutive lower with long stems, upper sessile, rounded, broad or narrow palmate cut to 3 - 5 partitions, partition 10 - 20 mm wide, tripartite, with short, on the underside of a thicker pappus. Inflorescences top, racemose, sometimes slightly branched at the base. Perianth  pale yellow, with a short stem. Bracts cut or linear, longer than the pedicels, sometimes very large. The helmet 15 mm high and 10 mm wide, tapered cylindrical, covered with short hairs or rare naked baseline helmet almost straight. Nektar points located high in the helmet wrapped cochlea-like, with long, slightly dilated at the base stems. Bubbles 3 - 4, 10 mm long and 5 mm wide, free or slightly connate at the base, naked. Seeds brown, tetrahedral, with obtuse angles.

var. lamarckii. Plants 60 - 100 cm high. Leaves closely cut, shares 10 - 15 mm in clear width. In Bulgaria not found.

Stoj. et Stef., 1. c.; A. ranunculifolium subsp. stenotomum f. Wagneri (Deg.) Hayek, I. c. Plants 100 - 140 cm tall. Leaves broadly cut, shares 15 - 20 mm in clear width. Widespread.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Stony and rocky sunny slopes, along streams, through forests and bushes. Northeastern Bulgaria (Tutrakan), Fore, Stara Planina (Balkan), Sofia region (Lyulin mountain) Znepolski region (Konyaveka Mountain, Paramun, Rui Mountain), Vitosha region (Vitosha) Slavianka, Pirin, Rila and Central Forest (Westerly of Ihtiman), West and Central Rhodope Mountains from 650 to 2400 meters altitude, except lower (107 m above sea level - Tutrakan).
