Description:

Perennial plant. The rhizome long. Stem simple 10 - 100 cm high, rarely branched in the upper part, round, almost naked, to densely fibrous. The leaves are thin, above green, naked, blue-green below, feathery hair, the base leaves of long stems, triple feather-like; The stems leaves similar to them, most often the lower stem leaf with a shorter stem than that of the basal leaves; the upper ones are sitting down to one bract stem leaf. Leaflets 2 - 3 cm long and 1,5 - 2 cm wide, triple, rounded wedge-like or broadly back ovate, obtuse feather-like, or broadly dull cut. The leaf stems at the bottom are clearly expanded, upward rounded and with a recess, short, fibrous. Flowers large, semi-erect, single or some together. Flower stems with single glandular hairs. The leaflets of the perianthim in two rows of  5, sulfur yellow, outer surface strigose; the outer 2 - 3 cm long and 1 – 1,5 cm wide, oval-lance with a dull apex; the internal with funnel-like 1,3 – 1,5 cm long and 4 mm wide nectar spur and 1,5 - 2 cm long and 1 - 1.2 cm wide, dull, tapering plate, fibrous on the outside. The stamens are numerous. The staminodiums obtuse. Fruit-leaflets 5, obtuse, glandless, with short (up to 0,5 cm) bent out little nose. The stayles naked. Seeds oval, obtuse tappered, brilliant, black.

Distribution in Bulgaria: It grow on the steep cliffs, among the juniper bushes, around the upper forest border, the Vitosha region (Vitosha), Pirin, Rila, and the Western Rhodopes. (Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora) = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc.

Distribution: Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Albania. Balkan endemic.
