Schwertblättriges Waldvögelein

Beschreibung: Pflanze 10 - 60 cm hoch. Stengel dicht beblättert. Blätter 4 - 12, abstehend bis überhängend, schmal-lanzettlich, oft rinnig gefaltet, bis zu 18 cm lang, 1 - 4 cm breit. Blütenstand bis zu 20 cm lang, locker bis ziemlich dicht, wenig- bis vielblütig. Blüten rein weiß, etwas geöffnet. Sepalen lanzettlich, 14 - 18 mm lang, 4 - 6 mm breit. Petalen oval, 10 - 12 mm lang, 5 mm breit. Lippe aufgerichtet. Hinterlippe weiß mit orangegelben Flecken am Grunde und mit aufgerichteten Seitenlappen. Vorderlippe weiß mit 4 - 6 orangegelben Leisten. Sporn fehlt. Untere Tragblätter schmal-lanzettlich, 2 - l0 cm lang, nach oben sehr klein (2 - 5 mm lang) werdend.
Blütezeit: Von März (im Süden) bis Juni.
Höhenverbreitung: Von der Küste bis etwa 2000 m.
Standort: Im Gebüsch und in Kiefern-, Tannen- und Eichenwäldern, seltener in offenen Lagen, auf Kalk und Urgestein.
Naturschutz: In Mitteleuropa vielerorts verschwunden.
Bastarde: Sehr selten mit C. damasonium, C. epipactoides und C. rubra.
Bildnachweis: 28.5.1980, Teruel (Mittelostspanien), H. Baumann. Das Bild zeigt den reichblütigen Blütenstand einer südeuropäischen Pflanze. In Mitteleuropa sind die Pflanzen durchschnittlich kleiner und wenigblütiger. Die Blüten sind rein weiß und kaum geöffnet, die Tragblätter sehr kurz und die Blüten ungespornt.

. Description: Plant 10 - 60 cm high. Stems densely leafy. Leaves 4 - 12, leaves face up to bending, narrow-lanceolate, often folded rinnig, up to 18 cm long, 1 - 4 cm wide. Flowering time: From March (in the south) to June.
Height Spread: From the sea coast to about 2000 m altitude.
Habitat: In the bushes and pine, fir and oak forests, rare in open places, on limestone and bedrock.
Conservation: In Central Europe disappeared in many places.
Bastards: Very rare with C. damasonium, C. epipactoides and C. rubra.
Origin pictures: 05/28/1980, Teruel (Spain Middle East), H. Baumann. The picture shows the inflorescence with many colors of a southern European plant. In Central Europe, the plants are on average smaller and with less blossoms. The blossoms are purely white and only open, the bracts very short and the blossoms without spur.
