Description:

Perennial herbaceous plants. Stems straight, short fiber. Leaves complex imparipinnate, with black spotting glandule, consecutive. Blossoms incorrect, bisexual, at the top in brush-shaped inflorescence, densely covered with numerous black glandule. Sepals 5. Petals 5, free, elliptical- lance, narrowed at the base into a small nail, the lowest paid down, pink, white up to blue. Stamens 10; Staminal stems free, spurs and curved upward, with globular anthers, with underdeveloped nectar disk. Carpophore of 5 fruit-leaves, with 5 nests upper ovary. The pedicle 1, threadlike, crooked, with one rounded stigma. 5 Fruit -well box, dissolving the inside of the wells with a resiliently releasable endocarp. Seeds black, smooth, shining. Insects pollinating plants, reproduce by seed.
Economic importance. Rich in essential oils and alkaloids, application in perfumery, official and folk medicine. Beautiful decorative plants and honey plants. Known cases of obtaining of allergies and skin burns in people having contact with flowering plants.
