Description:

Perennial plant. Rhizome fusiform, 0.8 - 1.5 cm in diameter; roots spindly and filamentary. Stems 50 - 150 cm tall, roughly ribbed and ridged, not swollen in the nodes, at the base with dense warts, diverted to the base, up increasingly shorter, with sharp hairs simple, with single scattered hairs or naked, basically red greenish, up green. Leaves 4 - 35 cm long, 3 - 25 cm wide, ellipsoidal to broadly ovoid, lobed to 2 times lobed, top naked edge and veins bottom short sharp fiber; main unit 8 - 12 cm long, 1 - 9 cm wide, rounded to a cross-elliptical, lobed, with stems, terminal portion up to the fibers or to half of the basic, round, lobed, symmetrical or splitted asymmetric, in edge irregularly serrated to finely serrated, with cartilaginous spines on the tabs. Basal leaves lobed, on petioles 4 - 10 cm long. Units rounded, with irregularly scattered acute fibrous or napped groups at the base of the stem; vaginas herbaceous, elliptical, naked or single fibers of the transition to the stem. The above stem leaves shortenings to inflorescence, passing in close elliptical vaginas, covered with single hairs. Main beams 8 - 35, rough, 1,5 - 9 cm long, in fruit abundance extending, keeled, nude, with a sheath of 4 - 6 (7), 3 - 6 mm long, 1,2 – 2,0 mm wide, extended lance, herbaceous, naked leaflets or missing. Sun visors with 10 - 25 flowers; bracts 3 - 6, sharp lance, 2,0 – 4,2 mm long, 0,.8 – 1,0 mm wide, bare. Flower stems 3 - 6 mm and extending in fruit abundance, naked. Flowers 1,2 – 1,6 mm in diameter, the petals elliptical, edges slightly wavy, at the top extended and curved inwardly like a beak, yellow green, naked. Fruits close to heart-rounded, naked; mericarps 6 - 11 mm long, 4 - 7 mm wide, with 3 and 2 clear thin ribs fitting to the side on the outside and 1 rib and 2-fitting to the side on the inner surface; lateral ribs winged; the grooves on the outer surface 4, the same or external insignificantly shorter, the inner 2, equal to or longer than a half of mericarp; stilopodium short conical, at the base wavy wrinkled.
