Description:

A perennial plant. Stem up to 35 cm high. Leaves straight or curved sickle, 2-18 mm wide. Bracts almost identical, ovoid or oblong lantsetni Lantsetni BLISTER swollen with dorsal edge grass in late tunicates. The colors yellow, purple or blue. Okolotsvetnite tube twice longer than the ovary and shorter than Okolotsvetnite leaflets. Foreign okolotsvetni notes back ovoid or oblong, basically klino¬vidni. with purple streaks or stripes on the upper surface with a strip of yellow or dove dyed cilia. Interior okolotsvetni notes back ovate, wedge-shaped, sometimes at the base with purple veins.

forma bosniaca (Beck) Acht. Izvestia. of the Institute of Bot., Bulg. Acad. Sci., VII (I960) 30. Yellow flowers. This form is more common in Bulgaria.

Economic importance. Suitable for decorative purposes.

Iris reichenbachii, Heuffel. is a perennial bearded iris species that is native to Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, and into northeast Greece. Flowers are a dull purple, yellow, or violet, with each stem giving one or two flowers.[1]

Distribution in Bulgaria: Grow in the rocky, stony and grassy places from Foothill to sub alpine - 2200 m altitude. Stara Planina, Vitosha, low mountains in western Bulgaria, Rila, Pirin, Slavyanka Rhodopes. (Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora) = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc.
