Description:

Beak much shorter than the fruit and somewhat thinner than it. Spindly plants without tubers. Hairy leaves, each of which at its tip gratuadet one rosette consisting of 2 - 5 hooks. The rosettes on the tips of the bristles, covering leaves consisting by 2 - 3 hooks.
L. hispidus L. (L. hastilis Koch) (Perennial) - From the meadows, along streams and in moist, grassy and stony places. Appears in Bulgaria, mainly in the mountain belt at an altitude between 1,000 and 3,000 meters.
Blooms: VI - IX.
var. hispidus - stems, leaves and fibrous sheath. Often.
var. glabratus Koch (L. danubialis Jacq.) - Nude or almost naked plant.
