Description:
Perennials. Rhizome fusiform or irregular, nodulose with filamentous branches and offshoots. Stem 20 - 80 cm tall, 2 - 5 mm diameter, single or atop branched, or just simply glandular fiber. Leaves 3 -11 cm long, 1.5 - 4.2 mm wide, in whorls of 4 (rarely 5), narrowly elliptical to lance, with pointed, rarely rounded peaks, on 5 - 10mm long stems. From above naked, the bottom just simple fibrous, or both sides, bottom denser simple and glandular hairy, wavy edge, villous. Infloresce-nce axis simply or just simply, densely glandular and fibrous. Inflorescence a loose panicle, bracts leaf like, diminishing in size towards the top of the panicle, or just simply glandular and fibrous. Pedicels 5 - 10 mm long, fibrous like bracts; calyx 3 - 5 mm long, 3 - 4 mm wide, bell-shaped, shares 5 pointed, rounded, overlap-ping partly based, simply or simple and glandular hairy, reddish on the edge. Corolla 12 - 20 mm wide, discoid, tube 0.8 - 1 mm long, 1.2 - 2.0 mm wide, calyx shares 10-20 mm long, 4 - 8 mm wide, narrowly ovate to elliptical, often divided to the base and then the tube is missing on the inner surface, without edges, small glandular, yellow. Stamens fused at the base. Box short conical, 4 - 5 mm high, 3 - 4 mm wide, rare glandular fibrous or goals. Seeds 1.0 - 1.5 mm long, 0.8 - 1.0 mm wide, irregular polygonal to triangular, on the surface with a porous coating.

Stoj. et Stef., 1. c. non Boiss. Plants simple and glandular fibrous. The leaves on both sides simple and glandular fibrous. Box scattered glandular fibrous. Widespread within the species.

Distribution in Bulgaria: In moist rocky and grassy places, saline soils, ain the bushes in the plains and the mountains. Spread from sea level up to 1,400 m. altitude. (Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora) = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc.
Distribution: Europe, Southwest Asia, Siberia (excluding the northern parts), North Africa and Japan - China area.
