Description:

Perennial plant. Rhizome spindle-shaped, 0.5 - 1.0 cm in diameter, as well as the stem at the base without or with single threads at the top; roots filamentous. Stem 30 - 88 cm high, 0.2 - 1.2 cm in diameter, not swollen in the nodes, branched from the base or in the upper part, unclea at the base, up stand out striated and ribbed, long, soft fibrous. Leaves 4 - 28 cm long, 1.5 - 10.0 cm wide, elliptical, on both sides and along the edge scattered just fibrous; shares 5 - 13, 1 - 6 cm long, 0.7 - 4.0 cm wide, spaced or not, ovate, asymmetrical, palmately or irregularly deep to 3/4 truncated, wholesale serrated; the upper part is incorrectly cut or divided into three parts. Basal leaves rosette-shaped or consecutive, 1.5 - 6.0 cm long petioles with wedge-shaped, ridged, herbaceous, covered with long soft hairs vaginas. The upper stems are 3 - 4 cm long petioles, gradually turning into wedge-shaped, herbaceous, dense, simply fibrous vaginas. The main rays 5 - 15, 1 - 4 cm long, unequal, at fruiting twice elongated, ridged, covered with different in density simple hairs and short spines or only with spines, with a shell of 3 - 5, 3 - 12 mm long, 0.5 - 1.0 mm wide, narrowly lance, herbaceous leaflets covered like rays. Umbels with 5 - 35 flowers; bracts 6 - 7, 2 - 8 mm long, 0.3 - 0.8 mm wide, back wedge-shaped, covered with simple hairs and spines or only with spines. Flower petioles 1.8 - 4.5 mm long, at fruiting twice elongated, covered with simple hairs and spines or only with spines. Flowers 1.5 - 2.0 mm in diameter; petals 1.5 - 2 mm long, 0.5 - 0.8 cm wide, heart-shaped, curled like a beak inward, yellow, glabrous. Fruits broadly elliptical, flattened, rarely densely fibrous or glabrous; mericarps 3.5 - 6.2 mm long, 2.5 - 4.5 mm wide, with 3 filamentous and 2 adjacent ribs on the outer surface; 1 filamentous and 2 adjacent to the side ribs on the inner surface; lateral ribs narrowly winged; the channels 4 on the outer and 2 on the inner surface; stylopodium domed, at the base with a wavy edge.
