Description:

Perennial thick tussock like. Stems creeping, from 1.5 to 7 cm long, with numerous remains of leaves, branched, forming compact cushions. Leaves successive; at the base collected in a thick cylindrical rosette (3) 5 - 7 (10) mm long and 1 - 1.5 mm wide, elliptical to linear oblong, at the base slightly expanded, squatting on the edge ciliates, up, entire, with a clear cartilage rim, leather, naked, on top with a short curled tip, green to gray-green encrusted with calcium salts; Stem leaves 3 (5) - 6 (8) mm long and 1 mm wide, oblong, the base slightly expanded, squatting on top with a short curled tip, densely glandular. Flowering branches erect, (1.7) 3 - 8 cm tall, simple, green, densely covered with short sticky on top dark red to brown glandular hairs. Clusters peak umbel like loose panicle, flowering branches spreading, densely glandular hairy brown, the blossoms (5) 7 - 12 (13). Bracts 4 - 5 mm long and 1 - 1.5 mm wide, elliptic lance, green, usually glandular ciliate edge. Blossom stems (3) 4 - 8 (16) mm long, glandular pubescent, usually longer than the box. Sepals fused at the base of 3 - 4 (5) mm long and from 1 to 1.5 (2) mm wide, triangular, elliptical, to blunt pointed, from the outer side and along the edge of a thick, red top of glandular hairs fetal face. Petals 5 - 7 mm long and 3 - 4 mm wide, elongated ovoid back, the core is gradually narrowed in the claw, entire, golden yellow, glabrous, equal to each other, 1.5 - 2 times larger than the calyx. The stems of the stamen fiber like, gradually expanded at his base, anthers yellow. Box 4 - 6 mm long and 3 - 4 mm wide, ovoid-shaped, pedicles spread. Seeds 0.7 to 0.8 mm long, ovate, pointed at the top, with perfectly fine sharp dark brown papillae.


Flowering Time: Blooms V - VIII, fruitful VIII - IX.

Distribution in Bulgaria: In rock rifts, limestone, in the mountain and high-mountain belt. Slavianka, Pirin, Rhodope Mountains (Red Wall Mursalitsa, Trigrad village, Devin), from 900 to 2900 m altitude. (Conspectus of the Bulgarian Vascular Flora) = conspectus&gs_l= Zlc.


Distribution: Bulgaria, northern Greece. Balkan endemic.
