English Name: Cream pincushions Cream scabiousDescription: Perennial plant. Stems 30 - 80 cm tall, straight, from the middle branched, rarely wrapping, fibrous to almost naked. The leaves of the sterile rosettes are entire, with stems, back ovate-lance, jagged, similar to the pound or feather-like cut; the lower stem leaves entire or similar to the pound, the upper similar to the pound, to the feather-like cut, with linear lance shares, all of them with short, diluted to dense hair. Inflorescences radiant, head spherical, 2 - 3 cm in diameter during fertility elongated; the inflorescence stems long, under the inflorescence with short, affectionate simple hairs, in the remaining part dilute filamentous to almost naked; the envelop leaflets linear, tapered, on the surface, with short, on the edge with the spread of simple hairs, shorter than the blossoms, very rarely equal to them. The outer calyx with 3 - 4 mm long tube, without pits, with 8 fibrous ribs, with deep grooves between them; the crown 1 - 1.5 mm long, 3 times shorter than the tube, membranous, with 20 - 24 veins; the inner calyx with a few awn, two or three times longer than the crown. The corolla of the peripheral flowers in the inflorescence clearly longer than the central, yellow.
